Once your assignments are passed, they are not valid for operations anymore. You can choose to delete old information or to insert them into an archive database.

  • Action - Select to permanently delete or archive the assignments.
  • ArchiveDelete - Indicates the number of days that assignments reside in the archive database before they are delete permanently.
  • Enabled - Indicator to enable/disable the archiving functionality. When set to False, the archiving is not executed at all and all old assignments remain in the operational database.
  • Threshold - Number of days after an assignment should be deleted or moved to the archive database.

Authentication strings

To prevent unauthorized access to your iPoint system you can set an authentication string or password for scheduler and player communication.

Network

Click on the button with the 3 dots to enter the network configuration. In some Windows operating systems like Windows 2000, you have to specify which sharename is mapped to a given drive letter. E.g. M:\ corresponds to \\Servername\\Sharename.

Players

Control how a connected player is seen as alive or dead:

  • DeadAfter - A computer is considered as dead when it passes the SendInterval + DeadAfter period. This settings is in seconds.
  • SendInterval - Number of seconds between 2 keep alive signals between the player and the server.
  • SendThumbnails - Specifies if a player should send thumbnails of the computer screen to the iPoint server.

With Upload enabled the player's thumbnail will be saved in a folder for external programs that monitors the iPoint system.

  • Folder - Home folder at the FTP server where the thumbnails are saved.
  • Password - Password associated with your username.
  • Server - Computer name or IP address of the FTP server.
  • Upload - None for no upload, All to upload all player's thumbnail and UsePlayerSettings to overrule these settings and use the player's FTP upload settings.
