Scheduler - Playlist assignments

Here you assign a playlist to a player or group of players.

Introduction

Assignment overview

The playlists assignments overview looks like this:

1: Click the new document icon to create a new playlist assignment. With a playlist assignment selected you can open and delete an assignment. Click the save icon to save all assignments to the server.

2: Change the chart interval. You can zoom in or zoom out by using another selection from the list.

3: Change the scale width to increase or decrease the width of the interval.

4: Graphical overview of all playlist assignments of this player or player group.

Assignment detail

When you open a playlist assignment you get this form:

  • Player - Name of the selected player. The playlist will be assigned to this player.
  • Playlist - Name of the associated playlist.
  • Priority
  • General - Click the new document icon to create a new playlist assignment. With a playlist assignment selected you can open and delete an assignment. Click the save icon to save all assignments to the server.

Player/Group

The playlist specified is assigned to this player.

Playlist

Name of the playlist in this assignment.

Priority

Set a priority on this playlist assignment. The player will always display the current assignment with the highest priority. You can set a default playlist for all times by using the lowest priority. Now when you want to create an exception to this default playlist, you can easily create a new playlist assignment with a higher priority.

The player will always complete the current playlist till the end before it will evaluate a new and higher playlist, except for assignments with the highest priority.

You can assign playlists to players individually or to player groups. An assignment on player level will always overrule the assignments of a group. So in other words, if you have an assignment on a player group and an assignment on a player in that group, the assignment of the player will be displayed.

Period

Set the start date and end date of an assignment.

Timings

Choose to display the playlist the complete day or only between a start and end time.

If you choose to display the playlist between a start time and end time, the assignment shape in the assignments overview will be represented by different shapes, but still refer to this assignment definition. With the All day option selected, this shape will be 1 single shape block.

Recurrence

Set the days of the week when to display the playlist. You can e.g. exclude Saturdays and Sundays from the assignment.
